I love to admire challenging poker games as there is a lot of excitement and fun. I am a regular player on internet and have also played many poker tournaments to bag in handsome prize money. Of the main world tournaments the fight between Steven Dannenmann and Joseph Hachem was spectacular to enjoy. The rivals faced each other with Hachem having chips worth $40million and Dannenmann possessing chips of $16.35 million. Steven raised a bet of $700,000 with A from spades and 3 from clubs, while Hachem was bit uncomfortable with 7 from clubs and 3 from spades.
The game was flopped with 4 and 5 from diamonds and 6 from hearts. Hachem again placed a higher bet of $1,700,000 and Steven’s hand with one ace high ended it in draw. Steven was trying to end in draw with three remaining 7s in the pack. But Joseph was lucky enough to receive a 4 from the clubs and outplayed Steven. He emerged to be the new WSOP champion of 2005.
The consecutive calls made by Steven clears his plan to detect how high the call of ace is and tried to challenge Hachem. He could have made a difference if he has the right set of cards. Steven could hold on his nerves to make such a huge bet but that did no work as he failed to place the right card at the right moment. It was dashy game but Steven lost it badly.
